  2.1 Human life in general  
  Article 61-Birth of a human being  
61.1 Birth of a human being  
  All births of human beings in Republic of United Ireland are to be recorded in the Register at the time and place of birth, including the birth weight, features and status of the new born child.  
61.2 Blood sample and DNA testing  
  All children born in Republic of United Ireland shall be required to give a small blood sample and for their DNA to be tested for all standard diseases and variations and for this information to be added to the central medical records systems of Republic of United Ireland.
