Authority of

By rights of the declaration of this constitution and by the people of this Nation subscribing to this Constitution by participating in its democratic processes, this constitution represents the one and only true constitution of this Nation.

| 42.2 |
Constitution as first and supreme law |
|
| |
As enacted, this constitution represents the first and supreme law of this Nation. No other law shall be recognized as first or higher than the principles and statements of this Constitution.
|
|
| |
No claim of subservience to any other religious or secular law shall be deemed valid and no law shall be sworn to in official statements of oath, pledge to honesty as a witness or any other capacity of government other than this Constitution itself in respect of the Republic of United Ireland.

| 42.3 |
Invalidity of previous Nation agreements and treaties |

By virtue of the enactment of this Constitution, all previous constitutions, statutes, laws and regulations of previous Nations and treaties shall be deemed invalid unless expressely listed in the framework of this Constitution.

| |
No right of validity shall be given to any statute unless enacted by virtue of the clauses contained in this Constitution.

International treaties and agreements |
|
| |
By virtue of this Constitution all previous international treaties and agreements signed under previous constitutions, statutes, laws and contracts shall be honoured excepting those that conflict with the principles and clauses of this constitution and have been listed as a schedule of exclusion to this Constitution.
