| Summary |
Written by the same chief editor as The Great Book of Lecan, The Book of Magauran, The Book of Fermoy and the Book of Hy Many (Ádhamh Ó Cuirnín), with assistant scribes. A medieval text of importance combining typical heavily doctored genealogies in favour of the ancestors of the family commissioning the text, plus an assortment of tales including an alleged History of the Jews, a copy of the Lebor Gabála Érenn, the The Instructions of King Cormac, the various alleged kings of Ulster, Leinster, Connacht and Munster; the Dál gCais, the Lebor na gCeart (Book of Rights) and even fragments of the story of the fall of Troy and the Aeneid. |
| Context |
Produced for commercial consideration by Ádhamh Ó Cuirnín and his scribes using a standard formula based around the Book of Leinster and additional texts they created. Wholly unreliable as evidence clearly shows genealogies were created purely for the benefit of the client family. |
